Ashok Kumar Jain is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds academic degrees M. Com, CPM, PGADR, besides Management capsules from IIM Ahmedabad, ISB Hyderabad and Del Carnegie.
His professional journey with IOCL spans over 30 years includes various units of Marketing Installations, Regional & State office, Head Office and recent assignment being as Gujarat State Finance Head before taking moving to Marketing HO, Mumbai.
His present key assignment as CGM at Mumbai includes Import & Export, Product management, Insurance, LPG and Institutional Business proposal evaluation, steering various functional committees, Industry coordination and Govt claims.
He possesses deep insight on functional issues and understanding of policy guidelines with commercial acumen. His specialisation and professional forte include commercial evaluation of business transaction and re-structuring, designing policy framework and working SOPs, leading automation capabilities with system
developments and forming key control aspects.
He is also accredited as renowned petroleum Industry tax expert for over 12 years with leadership role for end-to-end implementation of GST in IOC with re-engineering major business processes from AS-IS to TO-BE, handled litigation management of very high stakes, steering policy frameworks on Indirect taxation. He is also a regular faculty on Finance and taxation.
His distinguished achievement includes national award as “Professional Achiever of the year - PSU” 2014 by the ICAI; “Indirect Tax leader of the year 2018” award by
Transformance India and as team leader recognised amongst “Best State office Finance” consistently for 3 years.
